Why Enterprise B2B Companies Need A Brand Film, Not “Just a Video”

Recently we produced this commercial-style brand film for Safran Electronics & Defence — a global leader in advanced defence and avionics technology.
Like many enterprise businesses operating in highly technical industries, Safran already had the capability, expertise and credibility. The challenge wasn’t whether they were good at what they did.
The challenge was perception.
When we first met with their sales and marketing team, they showed us a competitor video and explained they wanted to create something similar.
The only problem was: the competitor’s video didn’t feel premium, authoritative or reflective of the scale of work they were pitching for. And that matters. Because in enterprise B2B marketing, perception plays a huge role in trust. Especially when your company is:
pitching for major contracts
competing in high-value tenders
communicating complex technical capability
or trying to position itself as an industry leader
A lot of businesses underestimate how much buyers subconsciously judge capability through presentation.
You can be operating at an incredibly high level internally, but if your marketing feels generic, dated or low-effort, it quietly impacts how your business is perceived. That’s where high-quality brand storytelling becomes valuable.
The Goal Wasn’t “To Make A Video”
The goal was to create something cinematic, polished and authoritative that reflected the scale and professionalism of the business itself.
We wanted the film to:
communicate trust
feel premium
showcase technical capability
and position Safran as a serious player within the defence sector
To achieve that, we approached the production more like a commercial film than a traditional corporate video.
The conversation quickly moved beyond “video production” and into:
visual style
cinematography
movement
lighting
pacing
and how to create a strong sense of authority on screen
Because ultimately, enterprise buyers don’t just evaluate capability logically. They evaluate confidence emotionally.
Why Strong B2B Brand Films Matter
The strongest corporate films become long-term business assets.
They help businesses:
present themselves more effectively in sales meetings
support capability presentations and tenders
build trust faster
improve brand perception
and communicate complex offerings clearly
In many cases, they also help internal stakeholders feel more confident presenting the business to clients, investors or procurement teams. And importantly, they continue delivering value long after the shoot is over.
