FAQ

Q) Why should I choose Global?

A) There's a lot of reasons why our customers choose to work with us, but our consistent aim for exceptional customer satisfaction seems to be the thing that our customers continue to rave about. Take a look at some of our customer reviews both here and on Google, and you'll see words like "customer focused", "eye for detail", "easy to work with", "excellent service" and "highly professional" pop up time after time. And if you haven't already, take a minute to watch a brief snapshot of our work on our showreel here

Q) How much does a video cost?

A) This is sort of a "how long is a piece of string" type question. The short answer is, it really depends on what you want to achieve and how much time, skilled individuals and equipment needs to go into it to achieve the desired outcome. Some productions can be done with 1 or 2 crew members, while other productions may require a dozen or more people. Broadly speaking, our productions range from $5,000 to $100,000 with the average production budget somewhere within the $10,000 to $15,000 range. That's why we prefer to quote every production individually. Our aim is to understand your requirements and then present you with a proposal tailored to your specific video needs. Then, you be the judge as to whether what we can offer for the budget is good value.

Q) Do you work interstate?

A) We service clients Australia wide. We have freelance crew in each major city and many of our productions have taken us to the far reaches of the continent. Travel, where necessary is part of our job description. While our office is based in Sydney, we have regular clients in Melbourne and Brisbane and have also filmed in Perth, Darwin, Adelaide, Port Douglas, Central NSW and many other interesting places.

Q) What sort of equipment do you use?

A) We only use high-end digital film and photography equipment. We never shoot videos on DSLR's - those are for photography and photography only. We prefer to shoot video on high-end digital cinema cameras that deliver a high-quality image and sound recording.

Q) How many people work for Global?

A) While we have a few key people that manage the business, we learnt long ago that the best way to run a production company is to work with quality freelance production crew. Considering every video production has a unique set of requirements, this enables us to cherry pick the right person for every job. We have a list of professional, trusted crew that we can draw upon all across Australia. Because good production crew are specialists in their fields, this business model works well for both us and our clients by keeping our overheads low and providing exceptional quality talent to our clients.

Q) How long does it take to produce a video?

A) This will depend a lot on your requirements. On average productions can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Some productions are simple and need to be turned around quickly. Some clients require their work to be turned around within a few days or a week. Larger projects will generally take longer. In planning, we'll work with you to determine a delivery time by working backwards from your deadline. That way we can schedule a shoot date that suits everyone and then we all work towards that date. After the shoot, we'll edit the video and provide you with private links to review the work. After any changes you might require, you can sign off on it and we'll send you a final link to download a high quality master file.

Q) Do you produce 3D animation and motion graphics?

A) Yes, we have extensive experience creating 3D animation and motion graphics. Our animators are highly skilled professionals based right here in Sydney and Melbourne. You can find out more about our animation work here.

Q) Can you provide media buying services?

A) It's not something we do directly, but being well connected with creative agencies, media buyers and PR companies ourselves, we’re also happy to help connect your organisation with key suppliers in media.

Q) Do you do photography?

A) Yes. Many of our clients require photography to be taken alongside their video shoot. You can see samples of our photography work here.

Q) Do you have a COVID policy?

A) Yes. You can read our COVID safety protocols for production here.
