Ben Kumanovski is a producer, director and cinematographer with over a decade in the industry.
In this time Ben has produced, directed and/or shot commercial spots for brands like Red Balloon, Esky, Rashay’s and Listerine among others including over 35 retail ads for iconic Australian clothing brand Lowes Menswear.
As an award-winning filmmaker, Ben has a passion for delivering his artistic vision.
In 2017 Ben was director and cinematographer for the highly commended half-hour drama ‘Escape’, commissioned by the Australian Government as part of a major campaign in domestic violence prevention.
In 2018 Ben was the winner of the Tropfest 7-second film challenge.
Having studied with AFTRS, the University of New England and JMC Academy, Ben's style is defined by its cinematic and commercial aesthetics.
Ben has a keen sense for comedy and drama, an eye for cinematic tone and a knack for heart-strung storytelling.
As a director, Ben has worked with a slew of well-known talent, and takes a personal, collaborative approach to working with actors. He is also a full member of the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS).
In 2007 Ben established Global Pictures, which continues to directly service some of Australia's biggest brands in the areas of TVC's, online content, corporate video and training video productions.
Ben has also received a number of awards for his work including several awards from the Australian Video Producers Association.
